Frequently Asked Questions

Here are a few answers to frequently asked questions about Cassia Spa and in-home massage.

What do you mean by in-home massage?

The massage therapist will come to your home to perform the service.

How should I set up my space before my massage therapist comes?

You’ll just need to clear enough space for the massage table (84 inches long, and 28 inches wide), plus some space around the table, so that I’m able to move around.

Most clients have the massage take place in their living rooms or basements.

How much time will the massage therapist need to set up?

Generally your therapist will need no more than 10 minutes to set up the table, music, etc.

What payments are accepted?

We accept payments with cash, PayPal and credit/debit cards. We require a $20 deposit when you’re booking. The rest is due at the end of your service.

If I book a 60 minute session, does that mean 60 minutes on the massage table?

Yes. The time it takes for your therapist to set up, and conduct an intake with you is not included in your session time.

Will the massage therapist provide sheets for the table?

I’ll have sheets with me. But during this time, I’d prefer if you’d provide your own (two loose sheets and one pillow case).

Can I have my dog or cat in the room with me during the service?

Yes, as long as they’re well behaved and won’t interrupt your massage.

What kind of music is played during the massage?

Regular spa music (with instruments and no voices) is my default. But I have an Apple Music subscription, so I can pretty much play anything you prefer during the session :-).

Will I ever be completely exposed during the session?

No. Your therapist will leave the room when you disrobe before getting onto the massage table.

During the massage session, your therapist only uncover parts of the body (legs, arms, back) that are being worked on.

What happens at the end of the session?

At the end of your massage, I’ll leave the room and allow you to get dressed. I’ll return when you’re clothed. If you haven’t already, you can complete your payment then.

When should I reschedule a session?

You should reschedule your session if:

  • You have a cold or flu or symptoms.

  • You’ve tested positive for COVID-19 and are in quarantine.

  • Someone in your household has tested positive for COVID-19 or is quarantining.

Is there a cancellation fee?

At this time, due to the pandemic, there are no cancellation fees.

But please let me know as soon as possible if you’re not able to keep your appointment with me.
