How Do You End Your Work Day?

Do you have an "end of the work day" routine? If not, consider creating one.

Many of us work from home now and a consistent "closing" ritual can help you mentally separate from work. It also prevents you from putting in more hours than you're supposed to.

Here are 4 things to add to your routine:

➡️ Write out a to-do list for the next day. Whatever you don't finish before you log off today will just go on tomorrow's schedule.

➡️ Straighten up your work area. Cleaning reduces stress, clears your mind of clutter, and makes you feel productive.

➡️ Change your clothes. A shift in your mindset occurs when you're wearing something different. So, even if you've been working in your pajamas all day, switch it up (maybe put on jeans if you're heading out, or a robe if you're staying in).

➡️ Schedule something fun after work. Whether it's a Target run, Face Timing friends or family, a relaxing bath, an in-home massage, or a walk -- when you have something to look forward to, you're less likely to work more than you're supposed to.
